Deadpool 2 (9/10)

This is probably the best badass film to date. It's another Marvel sequel that actually feels better than the original. The writers, including Reynolds, did an amazing job for the smart humor and funny references (although not everyone may be able to relate). This film is really determined not to get serious even when serious things happen. And props to Ryan Reynolds for a very effective performance.

It's currently fresh at Rotten Tomatoes with 82% tomatometer rating.

Critics Consensus: Though it threatens to buckle under the weight of its meta gags, Deadpool 2 is a gory, gleeful lampoon of the superhero genre buoyed by Ryan Reynolds' undeniable charm. (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/deadpool_2)

Avengers: Infinity War (9/10)

After watching every Marvel movie at the cinema since Ironman 1 (2008), seeing those superheroes in one movie made me super ecstatic. After 2hrs and 40 minutes, it left me wanting for more. The film really lived up to the hype!

It's certified fresh in Rotten Tomatoes with 83% tomatometer rating.

Critics Consensus: Avengers: Infinity War ably juggles a dizzying array of MCU heroes in the fight against their gravest threat yet, and the result is a thrilling, emotionally resonant blockbuster that (mostly) realizes its gargantuan ambitions.(https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/avengers_infinity_war/)

The Imitation Game (9/10)

Became an instant fan of Benedict Cumberbatch for his thrilling portryal of Alan Turing, the computer scientist whose contributions, unknown to many, shortened the war in Europe by two to four years. Just imagine the thousands, if not millions, of lives saved. This is not your genius-turned-hero/psycho movie. The film depicts certain aspects which are very relevant to our society nowadays.

PK (10/10)

I've been a fan of Aamir Khan ever since 3 Idiots and Ghajini. His versatility as an actor is unquestionable. He has consistently delivered strong performances in the roles he portrayed, at least from his movies I've watched including this. PK is another epic comedy offering starring Aamir. The movie is about an alien who lands in Earth and whose innocence and curiosity led him to a spiritual journey of finding God but is confused by diverse religions and traditions in India. The screenplay of the movie is admirable most especially the film's depiction of religious differences. I also liked the universal theme of the film, it's well-written and well-executed.

As noted from another review, "For once with an Aamir Khan vehicle, what is most memorable is not his predictably strong performance, but material and execution as fearless as he is." This is a movie really worth your 2.5hrs.

American Sniper (10/10)

Given the controversies and criticisms this movie is currently facing, I think American Sniper deserves better. I am in awe of how the story was executed, no more no less from Clint Eastwood. This is one of the best war movies of all time though I'm honestly having second thoughts if it's really a war movie. The film is more of a journey of a soldier who was caught up between his family and his duty to his country. Bradley Cooper did the best performance of his career to date in his effective portrayal as Chris Kyle, the so-called Legend and the deadliest sniper in US history.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (8/10)

A certified badass action movie with a swag. It's highly entertaining to a certain extent (disclaiming from the too violent and odd scenes like the firework like explosions). At the middle of the movie, I was seriously thinking "FTW! What is happening here?!" It did not really attempt to recreate a James Bond movie because it's a modern spy movie that stands as a film in its own right. By the way, Samuel Jackson is pretty hilarious here.
